07/10/2026

Capitalisation Workshop, Final Transnational Conference, and Hybrid Demonstration Event, October 8–9, 2026 at Rex Hotel

On Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9, 2026, Kalamata will host the closing events of the European project OliveOilMedNet (Interreg Euro-MED). The project focuses on reinforcing the authenticity and sustainability of Mediterranean olive oil. Over these two days, organizers will present key project outcomes, officially sign the Capitalisation Agreement to ensure the initiative’s long-term legacy, and highlight case studies from regional producers in the Peloponnese.

“Sustainability is not a luxury; it is an absolute prerequisite for the future of olive farming” stated the Vice Governor of Messinia, Anastasios Adamopoulos. “OliveOilMedNet provides us with tangible tools to safeguard the identity of our local olive varieties and bring authentic Messinian olive oil to dinner tables around the globe.”
