What we do

The “OliveOilMedNet” project :  

– identifies and certifies of the variety/botanical identity, specific organoleptic and quality characteristics, and geographical origin (authenticity) of extra virgin olive oils from different olive cultivars in the Mediterranean Area with the use of a classification model

– introduces of eco-friendly cultivation techniques, sustainable technology solutions in olive groves and olive oil mills, and the use of socio-economic and environmental evaluation tools and methodologies

– develops of an innovative network of stakeholders throughout the olive oil chain for the promotion of sustainable production and consumption practices to mitigate climate change impacts on the environment
