An online peer-learning event titled “Quality and Authenticity Schemes of Mediterranean Extra Virgin Olive Oils” will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 10:00 CET, bringing together experts, researchers, and stakeholders from across the Mediterranean olive oil sector.
The event is organized by Preveza Chamber, ELGO-DIMITRA, and the Region of Peloponnese, within the framework of the OliveOilMedNet project. This peer-learning session aims to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration on quality and authenticity systems for Mediterranean extra virgin olive oils. The agenda includes presentations by leading experts, covering topics such as:
- The quality characteristics of extra virgin olive oil
- The OliveOilMedNet authenticity model for local olive oils
- The development of an authenticity data bank
- Digital software solutions supporting traceability and verification
The event encourages dialogue and the exchange of knowledges and experiences across Mediterranean regions. Participants will gain insights into innovative tools, scientific approaches, and best practices that enhance product integrity and consumer trust.
