On February 28, 2026, experts from the Agricultural University of Tirana and Shkrela Olive Oil Production organized a professional olive oil tasting demonstration during the HORECA Albania Fair, held at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.

During the session, participants explored the key organoleptic characteristics of olive oil through a live guided tasting. Specialists introduced the main principles and professional rules of olive oil sensory evaluation, offering valuable insights into identifying quality attributes and recognizing different flavor profiles.

This activity was organized within the framework of the OliveOilMedNet project, an initiative that aims to promote knowledge, strengthen quality standards, and enhance collaboration across the Mediterranean olive oil sector.
