All Partners of the Project titled: “Mediterranean Network for the Promotion of Sustainability & Authenticity in Olive Oil Sector” and Αcronym: “OliveOilMedNet”, invite the local olive producers and olive oil mils to participate in the following (2) testing phases on:
- the certification of the authenticity of local extra virgin olive oils by contributing to the collection of olive oil samples and information data for their further chemical analysis and certification.
- the use of eco-friendly cultivation techniques and sustainable technological solutions in olive groves and olive oil mills, by contributing on the testing of these techniques and the collection of relevant information data.
The above test phases will be implemented during the period (November 2024 to March 2026), covering 2 harvest periods (2024-25 & 2025-26).

In OliveOilMedNet project “authenticity certification” and “eco-friendly cultivation/production” methods and tools in the olive oil sector developed in previous similar EU projects, will be tested in order to adapt them and develop a series of very innovative and useful tools for the olive-oil producers, such as:
- On-line “Authentic Olive oil Data Bank”
- Authenticity Certification digital software
- Authenticity demonstration methodology handbook
- Sustainable Olive Oil Growing & Production Methodology Handbook
- Methodology Guide for the Socio-economic and Environmental Assessment of olive oil products
- Catalogue of Authentic & “Green” Olive Oil Products
- e-networking platform
OliveOilMedNet project is co-funded by Euro-MED programme, aiming to promote sustainability and authenticity in the olive oil sector and in parallel to increase the cooperation level among the relevant stakeholders and beneficiaries.
