Preveza Chamber organized on May 13, in the Chamber’s meeting room, an open event to inform local olive producers about the purpose and expected results of the project OliveOilMedNet: “Mediterranean Network for the Promotion of Sustainability and Authenticity in the Olive Oil Sector”. The above event was implemented in the frame of the 1st day of the project’s Kick-off Meeting.
The meeting highlighted the main aim of the project OliveOilMedNet project, which is to improve the olive oil sector by introducing innovative and effective ways.
The meeting was attended by olive growers and olive oil producers who expressed their interest in the project. The President of the Chamber of Preveza Mr. Bouris Ioannis emphasized the importance of the project for the area and Mr. Panagiotis Katsaris researcher of ELGO DIMITRA of the Olive, Subtropical Plants and Vine Institute informed the participants about its goals and expected results. The event was attended by Mrs. Anastasia Simou Tassiou, thematic Deputy Regional Governor for the promotion of local products of the Epirus Region.
